Jungwon is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She brings a compassionate, non-judgmental presence to her work, offering clients active and empathetic listening as they share their stories, emotions, and thoughts. Jungwon integrates spirituality into psychotherapy, holding a deep respect for the sacredness of every human being and their lived experiences. She believes that authentic conversations can foster healing, personal growth, and meaningful change. With over 15 years of experience in pastoral care and counselling within educational and faith-based organizations, Jungwon has supported individuals, families, and communities through diverse life challenges. She has worked extensively with children, teenagers, and parents, addressing issues such as academic stress, family relationships, and parenting. As a mother of three, she also brings lived experience and a research interest in family dynamics and parenting. Her academic background includes a Master of Divinity (Emory University, USA), a Master of Theological Studies (Trinity College, University of Toronto), and a Master of Psychospiritual Studies with a certificate of spiritual care and psychotherapy (Emmanuel College, University of Toronto). She has also completed specialized training in palliative care at Michael Garron Hospital. Having lived and studied in South Korea, Japan, the United States, and Canada, Jungwon embodies cultural humility and sensitivity. As an immigrant herself, she understands the unique challenges of navigating identity and belonging.
