Janelle Chioma Efejedia holds a BA (Honors) in Family and Social Relation and a Master of Social Work. She is a Registered Social Worker and Lead Psychotherapist. In her clinical work, she supports her clients work through a plethora of mental health challenges in relation adverse experience, intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, and work related stressors. She has over 10 years of direct social service sector experience working in community mental health, crisis support service, a Violence Against Women shelter, Youth Criminal Justice, women’s health, and psychoeducational program development and evaluation. Janelle Chioma Efejedia provides individual clinical counselling and psychoeducational workshops to enhance the well-being of her clients by drawing on various modalities such as narrative therapy, somatic practices, and trauma-informed lens. She works collaboratively with her clients to address issues and challenges they may face by utilizing empowerment and strength-based frameworks so her clients can incorporate healthy coping strategies into their day to day lives.
