I know how important it is to find a therapist that you click with. Therapy is a big decision, and confiding in someone you've only just met requires hope, trust, honesty, and a healthy amount of courage (not to mention all the practical things like time, money, and effort). Creating a trusting connection with you is my highest priority, from the very first session, to the day when you're standing strong again. I see us as equal partners, working steadily towards your goals. My 22 years as a clinician (Registered Physiotherapist) have given me strong interpersonal and analytical skills. As a classic introvert, I'm also a very talented listener and observer. Because of my unique expertise, skillset and personality, my clients often feel comfortable to start digging deep fairly early on in the therapy process. My focus is on helping you better understand your negative thought patterns, reactions and choices, both past and present. Learning how the brain, nervous system and body works to keep us safe in difficult conditions is part of this. We will then get to work on the good stuff - moving towards a better way, and adding to your already-amazing arsenal of natural strengths. I look forward to exploring with you!
