Angellico is a kind, warm-hearted, and dedicated therapist and social worker who brings over ten years of professional experience to her counseling practice. Integrity, relationship building, and respect are central to Angellico's work with clients. Angellico truly empathizes with your experiences and uses culturally sensitive approaches, supporting you’re identifying and creating the outcomes you desire. She understands that life challenges and transitions can be complex and difficult and that we all need and deserve help to get through tough times. In her experience as a Black woman, Angellico noticed that open discussions of mental health are rare and she works to help change this by creating safe spaces for useful conversations about mental health. Recognizing that it takes great strength to reach out for support and great courage to discuss difficult life issues, Angellico is honored to be a part of your journey and support her clients in this process of facing, adapting to, and overcoming difficult life challenges. In addition to a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Toronto Metropolitan University and specialized post-graduate training, Angellico's valuable experience includes working effectively to improve and resolve a wide variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, conflict resolution, self-esteem, self-harm, stress management, life transitions, and enhancing coping skills. Angellico integrates a range of approaches in her counseling practice, including Narrative, Cognitive-Behavioral, Emotionally Focused, Grief therapy, Dialectic Behavioral, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Angellico also recognizes the complexities that the intersections of one’s social identity (including race, gender, class, sexuality, and more) can bring to issues and integrates this into her practice framework.
