Danish Sheikh (She/Her)

MSW
Counsellor's Gender: Woman
Ethno-Racial Identity: South Asian
I am a York University alumna with a BSW and an MSW; I am a registered Social Worker in good standing with the OCSWSSW. I use an intersectional-lens approach in my work, where I engage with clients to identify barriers and oppressions that they may face in society, while taking into account their social locations and lived realities. I consider myself as someone who walks alongside my clients on their journeys wherever they see fit, supporting them in navigating different areas of their lives. Some things about me: I’m a mother of two beautiful little girls and a disability advocate. As a mom of a lovely child with two rare diseases and autism, I am committed to being her voice and fighting for equity and inclusion.
