As a therapist, my primary goal is helping people reach a state of optimal functioning - however that may look for you. I provide client-centered, trauma-informed care to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions, relationship challenges, and other life stressors. For some people, this work may involve learning specific skills or processing difficult experiences within the safety of therapy. For others, just having a safe place to talk and sort through things provides them with what they need. I strive to adapt my approach to meet your specific needs as we work together to improve your life and functioning. I believe in my clients' inherent goodness and strive to help them remove the blockages that might prevent them from seeing themselves for who they really are. By taking a warm, sensitive, and flexible approach, with a bit of humour as well, I aim to empower my clients and focus on their strengths and inborn resilience. My work is influenced by mindfulness, CBT, strengths-based approaches, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients explore and connect with different parts of themselves with compassion and curiosity. With children, I draw on the Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) approach, using play to support expression, resilience, and growth in a natural and developmentally supportive way.
