Mitch Brant (He/Him)

MSW, RSW, Registered Social Worker
Counsellor's Gender: Man
Ethno-Racial Identity: Indigenous
Mitch is a compassionate therapist who cares about every individual he supports. He recognizes that going to therapy can be scary and hopeful, and he welcomes all parts of the experience through a non-judgmental and curious approach. He realizes that often folks do not have a safe space to share their mental health challenges without feeling judged, minimized and not understood. Mitch values the importance of creating a safe and collaborative space, and strives to create this environment so that everyone he sees feels heard, understood and deeply cared about. Mitch’s approach to therapy is trauma and attachment informed. He utilizes therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and IFS, to help you understand how your life experiences have contributed to your current mental health challenges, and help you process and heal the impact of these experiences. Mitch also integrates other therapeutic modalities such as EFT, CBT and Indigenous teachings depending on the unique needs of who he is with. Mitch has experience working with a range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, anger, substance use disorder, self-esteem, stress, emotional regulation and relationship issues. Mitch is a Registered Social Worker and graduate of the Master of Social Work program at King’s University College. He has worked and volunteered in a variety of mental health oriented settings and has experience working with adults, teens and children. Self-compassion has been a guiding light for Mitch when he has navigated his own mental health challenges, and he looks forward to supporting you in accessing yours.
