Nashema daRocha (She/Her)
I am a trauma-informed therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families navigating emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges. My work includes extensive experience with children and youth with disabilities, as well as families managing complex developmental and mental health needs.
I create a safe, collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I approach therapy with warmth and clarity, while also providing structure and practical tools that foster measurable growth. My work focuses on strengthening attachment, improving communication, building emotional regulation skills, and supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, identity development, and life transitions.
I practice through a culturally responsive lens, recognizing the influence of lived experience, systemic barriers, and family dynamics on mental health. Whether working with a child struggling with behaviour, a teen navigating stress and self-esteem, or adults seeking clarity and coping strategies, I tailor interventions to meet each client’s unique strengths and goals.
I believe therapy should empower individuals and families not only to gain insight, but to build lasting resilience, confidence, and connection beyond the therapy room.
