Raylynn, having obtained an Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree from York University in June 2000, is a Registered Social Worker in excellent standing with both the College of Registered Social Workers of Ontario (OCSWSSW) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Social Workers (NLASW). With extensive expertise, she has served diverse demographics, including young children, adolescents, and adults aged 18 and above, adeptly addressing various emotional and psychological issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, trauma, grief, and substance abuse. Raylynn employs a comprehensive approach to therapy, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Harm Reduction Approach, and Motivational Interviewing to tailor interventions to each client’s specific needs. Guided by principles of compassion, integrity, mindfulness, and respect, she strives to foster genuine growth and well-being in her client’s lives. Central to Raylynn’s counselling philosophy is empowering clients to set meaningful goals and supporting them in navigating their emotions and thoughts to achieve these goals. Recognizing that the therapeutic journey is unique for everyone, she provides a supportive, calming and open space for clients to explore their experiences and work towards healing and personal development.
