Life can be challenging. I recognize we experiences times in our lives that leave us feeling lonely, hopeless, stuck, overwhelmed, and confused. These times bring with them the additional challenge of reaching out and asking for support, recognizing that change is possible. It takes a lot of courage to begin pursuing your therapeutic journey and open up to someone to help you along this journey. My goal in practice is to create a safe space in which you feel safe, heard and supported. I will work collaboratively with you to explore any roots of emotional distress, and help you navigate through the life transitions, or challenges that have you feeling stuck. This therapeutic journey will be tailored to meeting your individual goals, as developing a personalized approach is paramount to success. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University and a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviours from McMaster University. I have also completed a Graduate Diploma in Brain Disorders Management at Mohawk College. I offer an integrative approach tailored to your needs that pulls from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), person-centered techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions – where applicable. You will be provided with a warm, empathetic, and non-judgemental environment where exploration of current challenges, thoughts, feelings, and skill building is central to our work.
