I am a doctorate student in counselling and psychotherapy at Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO and a member of OAMHP. My approach is to empower clients by directing their focus to their strengths and reflecting on developing skills for the resolution of challenges including processing piled-up mental wounds from various developmental stages of life in an organic and collaborative process. I offer virtual and in-person sessions for couples and individuals from various cultural backgrounds across Ontario. I incorporate an evidence-based practice to assist couples and individuals with relational conflicts including intimacy issues, infidelity, and divorce. Some other areas of my work include anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Combination of years of experience serving couples as a psychotherapist, advanced clinical training in various approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), short-term psychodynamics(Object Relations), and intensive training in sex therapy have enabled me to confidently work with clients to identify and address dysfunctional coping strategies in their relationships and to replace them with constructive actions that will best fit their needs and goals through an integrative approach. I would be happy to offer counselling in both English and Persian (Farsi) and walk alongside you in your journey.
